The platform behind it
We didn't build the technology ourselves, and there's no reason to pretend otherwise.
GILF Club runs on HubPeople. It's a dating platform that powers a large number of brands and handles the parts members care about but nobody markets. Identity verification, content moderation, payments, data protection, support around the clock.
The practical result is that a site this size gets moderation and security infrastructure we could not have built alone. A lot of sites in this category solve the same problem by running with almost none.
Industry standards
HubPeople has been a member of the Online Dating and Discovery Association since 2018, and its founder has sat on the ODDA board for over four years.
The ODDA is the global trade body for online dating. It works directly with governments on regulation of the sector. Its members include Match Group, Bumble and eharmony.
Worth being precise about this: the membership belongs to the platform we're built on rather than to us directly. We benefit from the standards and the compliance work, and we're telling you where it comes from rather than implying we earned it ourselves.
Rules and compliance
The platform tracks online safety regulation across the markets it operates in. That covers the UK Online Safety Act, the EU Digital Services Act and the Australian Online Safety Act.
In practice: age assurance on signup. Free identity verification for every member. Uploaded content screened before it appears. Blocking and reporting built in. Data on PCI-compliant infrastructure.

Who's allowed here
Over-18s only, without exception. Age checks run at signup and again before anybody can upload their own photos or video.
Members who ignore stated boundaries, harass people or misrepresent who they are lose their accounts. That isn't a slogan. It's what the moderation team spends most of its time doing.
